Job Summary

National Recovery Corpis seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding debts, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with company and provincial policies and regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently while meeting collection goals.

Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Document all interactions with customers in the company's database accurately and promptly.
  • Accurately skip trace and generate new information on files that require contact leads.
  • Monitor payment plans and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to debt collection.

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in collections is required.
  • Proven ability in both consumer and commercial collections.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices is preferred.
  • A strong focus on the task at hand.
  • High motivation to meet and exceed goals.
