We are looking for an experienced and organized
Mechanical Project Manager
to manage and successfully complete our HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation system projects. If you are a leader capable of balancing technical, financial, and scheduling requirements while ensuring seamless communication between the office and the job site, this opportunity is for you

Job Description

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of building mechanics projects, from the bidding phase to delivery. You will act as the primary link between the office and the job site and the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and Coordination

  • Plan and organize all project phases by developing and monitoring schedules.

  • Track budgets, costs, and allocated resources rigorously.
  • Ensure the procurement of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation (contracts, purchase orders, invoicing) and coordinate work with engineers, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects comply with building codes, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Manage unforeseen issues and project changes, and recommend technical adjustments as needed.
  • Perform daily verification of hours worked.

  • On-site Monitoring and Execution

  • Conduct site visits as needed to monitor progress and quality of work and participate in site meetings.

  • Coordinate and support technical teams in problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules on job sites.

  • Client Relations and Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the client throughout the project and ensure their satisfaction.

  • Present progress updates, technical solutions, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication between the office and the field.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Building Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or any other relevant equivalent training.
  • Relevant experience in project management within the construction sector.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems, as well as other building mechanics disciplines.
  • Excellent command of planning, budget tracking, and contract management.
  • Ability to work both in the office and on job sites.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (knowledge of Dynamics Business Central 365 is an asset).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
