Summary:

The Car Deal Clerk processes all car deals accurately, ensures proper documentation, and completes commission calculations. They support dealership financial operations by maintaining accurate records, verifying deal details, and working closely with sales, finance, and accounting teams. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles car deal processing and commission calculations, ensuring all deal paperwork is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Process new and used car deals accurately
  • Review deal documents for completeness and correct information
  • Calculate commissions for sales staff and managers
  • Verify costs, rebates, incentives, and finance/lease details
  • Fix deal discrepancies with sales and finance teams
  • Maintain organized deal files
  • Ensure all deals are posted for month-end
  • Provide basic reports on deals and commissions

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends; contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of accounting or deal processing experience

  • Knowledge of dealership operations and deal structures

  • Experience with dealership software (asset)
  • Strong accuracy, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Proficient with Excel and accounting software
