Our Collins Aerospace facility in Ottawa is a world leader in wireless communications networking, with products such as high-data-rate HF/VHF/UHF modems and the Self Configuring Relay Network (SCRN) for ad-hoc wireless networks. Collins Aerospace Canada is developing the next generation of HF radios that support significant throughput improvements and ad-hoc networking features, as well as developing Software Defined Radio networking waveforms for customers around the world. We are in need of enthusiastic team-players to join our team in Ottawa. This role is one of an individual contributor, working under direction of technical leadership.

What You Will Do

  • Will initiate master production schedule planning, expediting of material and mitigating risks for shortages.
  • Owns inventory management and control.
  • Executes continuous management of the master demand schedule to provide long range organizational effectiveness in support of internal and external capacity management and the SIOP process.
  • Creates and maintains master data for all parts, sub-assemblies and other parts as required.
  • Ensures that production builds are tracking to budget and analyzes data to understand trends and opportunities.
  • Generates and may analyze reports pertaining to product line obsolescence to ensure sustainability and continuity.
  • Compiles and may analyze reports documenting product line RoHS compliance and maintaining product line REACH compliance.
  • May assist with inventory reporting and analysis as required.
  • May assist with project tracking setup, cost transfers and financial reconciliation as required.
  • May assist with logistics support functions including part classification as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Canadian citizenship is required.
  • Successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada Secret Level Security Clearance and Controlled Good Access.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with an ERP system such as SAP is preferred.
  • An engineering or an accounting background is preferred.
