UAC is seeking a Head of Business Development to lead strategic growth and new client acquisition at a time of significant change across higher education.
Owned by the NSW Vice-Chancellors' Committee, UAC delivers trusted admissions services on behalf of universities across NSW and the ACT. As regulatory reform, financial pressure, and rising expectations reshape the sector, UAC is sharpening its focus on strategic leadership, disciplined execution, and long-term sustainability.
This is a senior role for a commercially astute, relationship-led leader who can secure new partnerships, identify growth opportunities aligned to market and partner needs, and strengthen UAC's credibility and reputation across the education ecosystem.
About the Role
Reporting into UAC's Customer & Commercial division, you will:
Secure new university, higher education, and tertiary sector partnersAdapt and execute a partnership and growth strategyLead the sales of UAC's admissions platforms and adjacent servicesBuild long-term, high-trust relationships that deliver mutual valueLead a small, high-performing teamSkills And Experiences
About You
You are a senior partnerships or business development leader who thrives in complex, purpose-driven environments. You are able to lead and motivate a team, lead by example and demonstrate what good looks like, motivate, coach, and performance manage to deliver results and meaningful strategic partnerships. Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity, you also personally lead commercial engagements alongside your team where required.
You bring:
5+ years successfully leading senior higher education partnerships or equivalent enterprise sales leadership experienceProven track record of success in securing new clients and delivering sustainable value and revenue, grounded in acquisition-led roles rather than account management or relationship-only functionsStrong partnership skills, team leadership and coaching skills, strategic judgement, and commercial acumenExceptional stakeholder engagement and presentation skills at the senior leadership and executive levelExperience in higher education services (highly regarded)Why Join UAC?
