Waterscapes Community - Full-time Maintenance Worker Position

As a key member of the team, the Maintenance Worker works in close coordination with the Community Director to assist the Strata Manager and Strata Council in the upkeep of the Waterscapes community, ensuring the completion of daily maintenance duties and needed repairs.

The ideal candidate will have:


•

Solid maintenance abilities with a good understanding of building systems


•

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, with minimal supervision


•

Positive, proactive, and hands-on attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding performance

Key Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:


•

Follow directions and assist the Community Director with planning maintenance routines and tasks


•

Conduct regular property inspections to identify safety or security issues, damages, and areas requiring maintenance or repair


•

Perform general property maintenance tasks such as waste removal, carpet cleaning, painting, monthly fire inspections, minimal snow removal, and grounds cleanup


•

Maintain pool and hot tub facilities, including chemical testing, balancing, and completing required documentation (Training Provided)


•

Commitment to one weekend workday per week is required


•

Some on-call duties from time to time.

Terms of Employment:

Must be prepared to submit a current criminal record check to the Strata Council upon request.

Must be willing to sign an agreement confirming abstention from illegal drug use.

Must possess a personal cell phone with an active voice and data plan.

Must hold a valid driver's license issued in the province of British Columbia Must be a permanent resident of Canada

Starting Wage: $30 per hour
