Blockscout is a leading provider of indexing and UI services for EVM chains. Our team hosts explorers for many of the largest chains in the industry. Reliability is vital to our company's success. We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen our DevOps and Support teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor systems: Proactively watch production systems and applications for performance issues, outages, or anomalies. Continuously develop and improve the monitoring systems and infrastructure for internal and external use. Setup and improve monitoring and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot issues: Find root cause and resolve technical problems to minimize downtime. Perform root cause analysis for production errors, investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Incident management: Respond to and resolve service disruptions, handle technical requests from clients, troubleshoot their issues, and keep them informed of progress
  • Supervise fixes: Collaborate with DevOps, RnD and QA teams to implement quick fixes or workarounds and permanent solutions
  • Document and improve: Log issues, document issue resolutions and procedures, and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Automate and improve development and release processes
  • Build tools to improve customer self-deployment experience
  • Deploy updates and fixes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Production Support Engineer or other Infrastructure roles
  • Proficient in monitoring and observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with popular clouds (AWS, GCP) and bare-metall

Will be a plus

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL administration
  • Experience with EVM blockchain infrastructure (EVM clients, RPC nodes)
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible
