Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial services, payroll, and accounts payable and receivable, along with proficiency in accounting software such as Jonas Construction Software.

Duties

  • Manage payroll processing

  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • Handle CRA filings and payments

  • Assist with contract administration and job costing

  • Perform daily banking and bank reconciliations

  • Conduct inter-company reconciliations

  • Assist in year-end closing and preparation for external auditors

  • Provide customer service and general office administration, including answering phones, opening mail, and greeting clients

Experience

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • High level of attention to detail and dedication to quality

  • Strong proficiency in English - verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Preferred Applied Accounting/Business Administration completion

  • Able to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the business

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
