We are seeking a skilled Drilling Specialist to join our team in the oil and gas industry, focusing on deep water drilling operations and ensuring the highest standards of safety and engineering integrity.

Role Overview

  • Engineering Planning: Responsible for the planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up for safe and efficient drilling programs.
  • Hazard Analysis: Research and understand drill well hazards by reviewing historical offset well information.
  • Well Planning: Utilize wellbore geologic and reservoir objectives to develop comprehensive well plans.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for various well design options.
  • Equipment Organization: Identify and organize necessary equipment for executing the drilling plan.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Design wells to meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Bids: Prepare and analyze technical bids for goods and services.
  • Daily Operations Survey: Conduct surveys of daily operations to ensure adherence to plans.
  • Rig Site Surveillance: Provide drilling and completion surveillance and engineering assessments at rig sites.
  • Technical Assistance: Offer surveillance and technical support for projects, equipment testing, and new procedures.
  • Collaboration: Interface with operations personnel to ensure feasibility of well plans.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with geology, reservoir, and project teams to meet well objectives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Deep Water Drilling: Experience in deep water drilling operations.
  • Well Design Software: Proficient in well design software and Microsoft applications.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively organize and communicate technical information.
  • Fluency in English: Read, write, and speak fluent English.

Education & Experience

  • Degree: B.S. degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Industry experience with well planning and execution.
