Training Specialist (Emergency Response
). H2Safety is seeking a dynamic Training Specialist to develop, deliver, and evaluate emergency response training programs tailored to client needs. This role includes creating engaging training materials, conducting sessions and drills, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining detailed records, and providing expert consultation. The specialist will also support business development efforts to enhance client preparedness and drive company objectives

Qualif**

  • icationsAdvanced training and experience in Emergency Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a relate
  • d field.Relevant certifications such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equ
  • ivalent.A minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency response, safety training, or a relate
  • d field.A proven track record in developing and delivering training programs for diverse au
  • diences.Valid certifications in emergency response or safety training is a
  • n asset.First Aid/CPR certification is pr
  • eferred.A valid Class 5 driver's license with at least three years of reportable driving history in
  • Canada.A clean or minimal demerit point driver's abstract with no significant traffic vio
  • lations.Must have the ability to travel to client sites as r
  • equired.Familiarity with the Incident Command System (ICS) is a requ
  • irement.In-depth knowledge of emergency response procedures, protocols, and best pr
  • actices.Thorough understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., BCER, AER, OSHA
  • , NFPA).Familiarity with various training methodologies and adult learning pri
  • nciples.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effect
  • iveness.High level of adaptability and flexibility to adjust training approaches based on different client requirements and f
  • eedback.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and leadership in project ex
  • ecution.Strong ability to learn and teach software tools and applications, including the H2Safety Command Centre Software suite, which will be utilized in certain training s
  • essions.High degree of self-discipline and strong scheduling/organizational
  • skills.Ability to travel as this position requires extensive travelling mainly throughout

Preferr**

  • ed SkillsCompletion of Incident Command System (ICS) Level 100, 200
  • , or 300.Certified to instruct Incident Command System (ICS) Level 10
  • 0 or 200.Completion of an Adult Education certification and/or knowledge of adult learning pr
  • inciples.Experience developing new training content and/or working in a Learning Management Syst
  • em (LMS).Emergency response experience, understanding of emergency response plans (ERPs), and/or knowledge of emergency response related legislation, regulations, and co
