POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Planning, the Manager, Corporate Planning, will be responsible for supporting major strategic planning, operational planning and project management.
- $83,538.00 – $100,249.50

RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional People:
- Manage 5+ major strategic, or multi-year initiatives for the organization, either impacting a single program area, multiple coordinated program areas or enterprise wide.
- Use effective formal and informal communication methods to ensure all stakeholders are brought along in the project lifecycle.
- Support with the annual and quarterly planning processes.
- Responsibility for directly supervising or managing colleague(s) specific to certain initiatives.
- Manage the planning and execution of strategic partnerships.
- Responsibility for directly managing corporate planning people resources including but not limited to:
Hiring, recruiting, and managing the Corporate Planning Specialist role.
Hiring, recruiting, and managing the Strategic Projects Coordinator role.
Hiring, recruiting, and managing corporate planning interns.
- Manage education and training requirements for corporate planning.
- Plan long-term people resource requirements in corporate planning.
- Own relationships with higher education institutions and future corporate planning talent.
Innovative Approaches:
- Contribute to the suggestion and planning of key strategic initiatives for the corporate planning team.
- Support planning the sequencing and interdependency of strategic projects across the organization across the 3-year planning horizon.
- Develop organizational frameworks and processes that guide implementation of corporate strategy; and where required, conduct education sessions to disseminate toolkits; oversee the development of standardized project management approaches for Kensington.
- Manage development of, and reporting cadences of, the balanced scorecard. Support with connection to the operational dashboards.
- Act as a cross-functional engagement resource for key organization priorities.
- Develop solutions to unique problems using unique frameworks.
- Collaborate with health system planning teams to foster opportunities for Kensington within the MWT-OHT.
- Supporting the development of funding proposals and business cases for new or expanded service offerings.
- Developing processes to monitor the external health policy environment, developing funding proposals for both clinical and research activities, and exploring opportunities for new or enhanced strategic partnerships and related engagement, implementation and evaluation processes.
- Oversee the formal tracking of the project portfolio managed by the Strategic Projects Coordinator.
Community Driven:
- Project management that has an equity lens and embeds the elements of co-design, either with patients, caregivers, volunteers and/or providers from initiative creation to implementation.
- Equity lens to team development and academic/intern program.
- Act as a champion and problem solver for community delivered models of care.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary multi-year financial analysis and envelope calculations as part of early-stage business case development.
- Oversee the financial administration of the Strategy & Partnerships team in conjunction with the Strategic Projects Coordinator.
- Develop annual budget for corporate planning team in conjunction with the Director of Corporate Planning.
- Create and manage budget for own initiatives.
- Create budget updates and financial reports for key stakeholders, including project team, executives, Board of Director and Committees and Funders.
- Will deliver on major strategic and capital projects for the organization, each with their own potential large impact on organization budget and operations.
- To the extent required by the capital or strategic initiative, work and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to receive and store high value equipment.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working safely in compliance with accepted safe work practices, procedures and legislated health and safety standards.
- Employees must: use and wear the equipment, protective devices and personal protective equipment as required; report hazards, accidents, and the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device; attend all required health and safety training; and follow all established safe work procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to develop compelling, succinct Briefing Notes and Decks for information sharing with key stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Executive-level team members; Ability to lead and facilitate discussions amongst team members with competing interests.
- Ability to complete time sensitive deliverables involving multiple stakeholders with complex subject matter.
- Ability to identify and connect with subject matter experts to validate solutions and plans.
- Ability to conduct financial analysis for business case development.
- Ability to navigate conflict.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and keep projects to timeline.
- Ability to coach and mentor a small team.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Post Graduate Degree, preferably in Health Administration or Business Administration.
- 5+ years experience in related healthcare field at a Coordinator level or above.
- Demonstrated project management expertise.
- Solid understanding of business intelligence data analytics as well as financial analysis.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous concurrent project.
- Excellent communication skills, dynamic, team player.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite or equivalent; Comfort understanding and presenting data.
- Familiarity with Miro or other virtual collaboration, engagement, and project management tools.
Required Professional Designation/Certificate:
- CHE or PMP considered an asset
