Opportunities available:

Part-time Security Guards:

  • Saturday and Sunday - 16 hours a week - 0700h - 1500h, h, 2200h - 0600h
  • 7 days available - 1800h - 0200h
  • Permanent part time hours - please ensure you can commit to this schedule

Please note: Parking is not provided. We kindly request that all applicants can reliably commute to Toronto.

What we're looking for:

  • Ontario Security Guard License is a must.
  • Standard First Aid CPR-C certification to ensure the safety of everyone.
  • Smart Serve certification to handle our hospitality environment.
  • Experience in a hotel setting and enforcing site protocols.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security and customer service experience is desired.
  • Professionalism and a presentable appearance are essential.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and report writing skills are required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that only authorized individuals access the property.
  • Conduct access control and screen visitors entering the site.
  • Perform regular exterior and interior patrols on an hourly basis.
  • Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act" to maintain security standards.
  • Timely completion and submission of reports.
  • Respond promptly to calls from the Manager on Duty and guests, with necessary follow-up on the next shift.
  • Collaborate with site staff to enhance security measures.
  • Coordinate with Peel Police and emergency services as required.
  • Skillfully de-escalate potential situations to maintain a safe environment.
  • Foster effective communication within your team.
  • Show flexibility in handling various work assignments.
  • Interact with site guests in a positive and professional manner.
  • Some posts may require mostly static duties with occasional patrols.
  • Guards must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time between breaks and patrols.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.75-$18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week

Licence/Certification:

  • Ontario Security Guard (required)
  • Standard First Aid CPR - C + AED (required)
