A Mobile Security Guard in Toronto is required for mobile patrolling in the Toronto Area. A major part of the role involves deterring and protecting the site and staff.

Duties:

• Responsible for the protection of people, property, facilities, and information.
• Maintain surveillance of surrounding area and report suspicious activity.
• Perform detailed and diligent patrols with mobile and by foot (Exterior and Interior).
• Strong ability to de-escalate situations and be able to handle individuals that need to be removed from the property.
• Patrols of City Parks to interact and support park and facility users as well as promote safety and security at all locations.
• Ability to handle emergency alarms in a quick manner (e.g., Fire Alarms, etc)
• Observe and report daily activities and irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure that all safety and emergency procedures are followed.
• Work with local police service.
• Draft reports.

Skills Required:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while being alert and detail oriented.
• Ability to exercise vigilance and multitask is required (Ability to prioritize, remain calm and multi-task under pressure in a dynamic environment).
• Proficient in using technology.
• Must have a G license and a clean abstract.
• Ability to effectively generate all relevant shift reports and distribute in a timely manner.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Must hold and maintain valid applicable Security Guard License and First Aid & CPR Certification.
• Must have valid G license for a minimum of 1 year.
• Mobile security experience would be an asset.
• Must have a clean driving abstract.
• Crisis management / Non-Violent crisis intervention certification is preferred.

License/Certification:

• Security License.
• First Aid & CPR Certification.
• G License with clean abstract.
