About Us

DW Security Services is a fully licensed and insured Ontario security agency providing professional guards and CCTV solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. We operate in full compliance with the Private Security & Investigative Services Act (PSISA), WSIB, and all Ontario labour and safety standards.

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed security guard with a trained K9 to join our night patrol team. This position involves securing a synagogue property facing targeted antisemitic threats, requiring high alertness, professionalism, and strict compliance with PSISA standards.

Shift Schedule

  • Hours: 8 PM - 6AM (10 hrs/night)
  • Days: 7 nights/week rotation available
  • Location: Toronto area

Responsibilities

  • Patrol and secure site perimeter with certified K9.
  • Maintain detailed daily activity and incident reports.
  • Deter and respond to trespassing or suspicious activity.
  • Follow all PSISA and DW Security post orders and communication procedures.
  • Ensure K9 safety, control, and proper handling at all times.
  • Liaise with law enforcement or emergency responders as required.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (PSISA).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in K9 or high-risk patrol.
  • Proof of K9 certification and vaccination record.
  • Own or handle a trained working dog (German Shepherd, Malinois, or equivalent).
  • Valid G driver's licence and personal patrol vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and situational awareness.
  • Clean criminal background.

Compensation

  • $35 – $40 per hour (based on experience and certification).
  • Overtime available.
  • WSIB coverage provided.
  • Uniform provided; K9 handler vest reimbursement available.
