About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Pastry Cook to join our pastry team at our upscale, ingredient-driven restaurant. This role is ideal for pastry program graduates or cooks with 1–2 years of experience who are looking to refine their craft and grow within a professional kitchen environment.

As a Pastry Cook, you'll support the execution of plated desserts and baked goods, contribute to daily mise en place, and maintain the high standards of presentation and consistency our guests expect. This is a hands-on, collaborative role within a team that values creativity, discipline, and attention to detail.

Reporting To:

Sous Chefs, Chef de Partie – Pastry, Chef de Cuisine

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation and service of desserts, breads, and pastry components to an elevated dining standard
  • Execute consistent plating in line with the restaurant's refined aesthetic and culinary standards
  • Maintain organized, clean, and efficient pastry workstations throughout prep and service
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols
  • Support mise en place and service prep with efficiency and precision
  • Assist in kitchen closing duties and thorough cleaning of the pastry section
  • Communicate effectively with the pastry team and chef team about prep levels, needs, and improvements
  • Support training and mentorship of junior staff when needed
  • Uphold a professional, respectful, and positive kitchen culture

You Are:

  • A graduate of a pastry or culinary program and/or have 1–2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen
  • Passionate about pastry arts, presentation, and continual skill development
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management
  • A clear communicator and collaborative team player
  • Focused on consistency, cleanliness, and quality
  • Commissary kitchen experience and banquet service experience are considered strong assets
