Job Overview

Maven is a warm, neighbourhood restaurant in Harbord Village serving contemporary, lively food with European Jewish roots. We are looking for a part-time prep/line cook to join our team. Our line cook is not only responsible for executing consistent food but also keeping our standard high. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced-small-team environment, eager to learn new things and grow with us, this is the job for you. Must be available evenings and weekends.

What we need from you

  • Consistently and accurately executing food orders
  • Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety at all time
  • Uphold Maven's standards. Reporting to chef/sous chef, following instructions on given recipes
  • Organized and able to multitask under fast-paced environment
  • Able to keep professionalism. Be a team player

Qualifications

  • 2 years kitchen experience. Recent graduates from culinary school are also encouraged to apply.
  • Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained once hired
  • Ability to legally work in Canada
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
