Job Duties:
Lead the day-to-day operations of a licensed Out of School Care program, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and youth
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supervision to maintain appropriate ratios and program coverage
Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing, BGCCVI policies, and core programming standards
Support program planning and implementation, including age-appropriate activities and individualized supports where required
Supervise, coach, and support staff through onboarding, training, performance management, and regular team meetings
Build and maintain positive relationships with families, schools, and community partners
Ensure accurate administrative records, incident reporting, attendance tracking, and required documentation
Collaborate with Finance and leadership on enrollment, fee collection, attendance reporting, and budget awareness
Oversee facility, equipment, and vehicle safety, maintenance, and cleanliness
- Participate in organizational initiatives, meetings, and special events as required
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in social sciences, recreation, or related field OR a combination of education and experience (minimum 20 hours child-related education)
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate approved by Community Care Facilities Licensing
- Eligible for approval as a Licensed Manager through Community Care Licensing
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar child care or youth program environment (preferred)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
