Job Overview:

Guiding Light Autism Services INC is seeking a dedicated Communicative Disorder Assistant to join our team. As a Communicative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to empower families and their special children by providing essential skills for personal growth. Reporting to the Speech and Language Pathologist as well as Head of Clinical Services, you will be an integral part of our organization.

Duties

  • Provide individual and group therapy to preschoolers in the areas of articulation, motor speech, language, and social communication.
  • Prepare and coach parents in the implementation of individualized home programs.
  • Prepare and organize materials and treatment rooms for client programs.
  • Train clients in the use of various types of communication equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all treatment activities

Qualifications:

  • Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma or equivalent;
  • Clinical experience working with children with a wide range of speech and language difficulties;
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent time management proficiency;
  • An ability to display a high level of initiative;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting;

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
