Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to Mary Browns recipes and standards
  • Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
  • Assist with food plating, garnishing, and portioning to ensure consistency across all dishes
  • Support the kitchen team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food delivery
  • Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food handling, and food safety regulations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
  • Prior experience with kitchen equipment operation is a plus but not mandatory
  • A genuine passion for food service, cooking, and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
