Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
  • Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and utensils
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
  • Restock supplies as needed and communicate inventory shortages to management
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a South Indian Restaurant or food service environment, particularly as a line cook or prep cook, is preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Basic understanding of serving procedures and meal presentation is a plus
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24,400.00-$32,000.00 per year
