Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, reliability, and the ability to operate heavy vehicles in a variety of conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Clean drivers abstract.
