The Positio
The Student Links Coordinator supports the Student Links Initiative, an "in school" opportunity, which provides secondary school students (ages with developmental disabilities the opportunity to explore post-school experiences and career options. Student Links Coordinators collaborate with students, their families, school staff, and designated supporters to identify areas of interest and connect students with community members who can share expertise and guidance. They facilitate student engagement with community members to build skills, explore career paths, and support students in planning for their future by exposing them to potential rolesand opportunitis
.

will be responsible for
Works with the Student Links Manager/Director to create strategies and develop a recruitment planfor the assigned region
Connects pro-actively with personal and professional contacts, networks, and community member
s

Through research and community mapping seek out potential community matches and opportunities to help students identify and establish deep community connections. Help students develop their own network and goals which they can continue to pursue even after their involve

Maintain a regular presence in the community to develop ongoing community connections and relationships. This includes students, teachers, mentors, commu

Use all possible avenues to engage community including cold calls, social media, in-person meetings, presentations, networking grou
