POSITION SUMMARY:
Winter Student - Front-End Developer

What You Will Be Doing

• As a Front-End Developer Student at OLG you will support a variety of design and development practices, such as:
• Gather business requirements from lab team.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Develop user-facing features and build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Execute unit tests to ensure consistency across devices and browsers.
• Identify potential solution risks/issues and communicate to relevant stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Sound interest in designing and developing user interfaces and Single Page Apps
• Understanding of coding/development
• Working knowledge of different programming languages and frameworks (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, , , RESTful API)
• Strong communication skills to support technology and operations partners
• The passion and eager to learn, and high attention to detail, strong time-management and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within a demanding environment.
• Work collaboratively within an agile environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills
