Are you a hands-on cybersecurity professional ready to build and maintain the core defenses of an organization? We are seeking a Security Analyst/Specialist to join our growing Information Security team and directly manage the technical execution of our foundational security program. You will be instrumental in turning policy into practice across key defense domains.
Key Responsibilities
As our Security Analyst/Specialist, you will be the primary technical owner for critical security controls, ensuring operational excellence across the following areas:
- Vulnerability & Patch Management: Execute vulnerability scanning, triage, and manage the complete life cycle of patching for all enterprise assets.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Administer and enforce secure access controls, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC) across systems.
- Endpoint & Network Security: Configure, monitor, and optimize our Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, firewalls, and network segmentation controls.
- Logging, Monitoring & Incident Response: Operate the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, investigate security alerts, and participate in incident response exercises.
- Asset Management & Hardening: Maintain a complete IT asset inventory and develop/implement secure configuration baselines and hardening techniques for all platforms and services.
- General Support: Support audits and provide technical expertise for policy adherence, awareness programs, and vendor risk assessments.
What You Bring
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in an operational cybersecurity role (e.g., Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Security Administrator).
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with tools related to SIEM, vulnerability scanning, EDR, and network monitoring.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of common security frameworks (e.g., CIS Controls, NIST) and how to apply hardening best practices.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field.
- Certifications (Assets): Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC certifications are highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
