**Security Analyst** - Contract Opportunity (10 months)

**Location**: Edmonton, Alberta (Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite, downtown Edmonton)

**The Opportunity**:
Join the **Information Security team**and play a key role in protecting the organization’s information assets. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and constantly evolving digital environment, contributing to the **continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)**.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Perform **intrusion detection analyses** and **vulnerability assessments** to ensure proactive responses.
- Support patch management and the vulnerability management process.
- Produce security indicator reports and support technical audits.
- Maintain and update the security infrastructure in line with service objectives.
- Contribute to the development, update, and enforcement of **security policies, standards, and procedures**.
- Monitor cybersecurity threats and stay ahead of emerging risks.

**The Team**:
You’ll report directly to the **Manager - Security Services** and collaborate with several specialists. The team culture fosters **collaboration, innovation, and professional growth**.

**What We’re Looking for (mandatory)**:

- College or university diploma in **Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field**.
- **3+ years of experience** in IT security, SOC, or related information security roles.
- Solid knowledge of **security frameworks** (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, COBIT, OWASP).
- Hands-on experience with **SIEM, firewalls, encryption, and vulnerability management tools**.
- Familiarity with **Microsoft and Linux environments**, including scripting (PowerShell, Shell).
- Proficiency with tools such as **Rapid7** and **CrowdStrike** (or similar).

**Nice-to-Have**:

- Experience in **technical audits or compliance**.
- Familiarity with **threat intelligence** and proactive threat hunting.
- Certifications (Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, etc.) are a strong asset.
