Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing meals, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the food industry to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Prior kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, maintains high standards of food safety, and works well within a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling to ensure timely service
- Support cooking and plating of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper sanitation procedures at all times
- Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
- Support serving staff by preparing orders for delivery or dine-in customers
- Ensure all food products are stored correctly and waste is minimized
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Skills
- Experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and food industry practices
- Flexibility to adapt to various roles within the kitchen as needed
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and kitchen operations
