Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Foot Care Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional home health care services in Canada. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering personalized patient care, ensuring that our clients experience the empathy and support they deserve.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts detailed skin, nail, vascular, neurological, and musculoskeletal assessments to identify risk factors such as neuropathy, ischemia, or pressure-related injury.
  • Provides safe and hygienic nail trimming, corn and callus reduction, and management of ingrown or thickened nails using sterile instruments and infection-control protocols.
  • Educates clients on foot hygiene, footwear selection, diabetes management, and fall prevention to promote self-care and prevent complications.
  • Adheres to aseptic techniques, sterilization standards (per PIDAC and PHO guidelines), and proper use of PPE to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Maintains accurate, timely, and legible records of assessments, treatments, and client outcomes in accordance with CNO and agency policies.
  • Qualifications
  • RPN or RN Nurse licensed with CNO
  • Proven experience in nursing or patient care settings
  • Specialized Foot Care Certification Completion of a Basic and Advanced Foot Care Nurse Certification Program from a recognized educational provider
  • Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Knowledge
  • Professional Liability Insurance & CPR Certification
  • Must maintain current liability insurance, CPR/First Aid certification, and adhere to CNO's standards for professional accountability and safety.
