Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely account reconciliation. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and strong analytical skills to support our accounts receivable and payable functions. Duties
- Prepare and send invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments and following up on overdue accounts
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct data entry tasks related to billing, payments, and account updates
- Analyze account statements to identify discrepancies or issues requiring resolution
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries via phone with professional etiquette
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting tasks
- Support bookkeeping activities by maintaining organized financial records
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve billing processes and resolve account issues through negotiation and analysis skills
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial analysis
- Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analysis skills for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks
- Effective negotiation skills for resolving billing discrepancies or payment issues
- Exceptional customer service abilities with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills necessary for financial calculations and data verification

Pay: $28.57-$37.48 per hour
