Mechanical Engineer/ Mechanical Designer

Overview
We are seeking a junior to intermediate Mechanical Engineer/ Mechanical Technologist, with a focus on building services (HVAC, plumbing, sprinklers), to join our innovative consulting engineering team. The following skills would be an asset:
- A working knowledge of heat loss/ heat gain/ ventilation calculation software programs,
- experience with AutoCad design and drafting programs
- Revit experience is a plus
- HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler system design experience is an asset,
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in sustainable and LEED design is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology degreeis an asset
Duties
- Load calculations using Carrier HAP or equivalent software programs.
- Ductwork and piping layout, design and sizing for HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler systems.
- Inputting and drafting using AutoCad
- Site survey's during design phase of a project.
Skills
- Knowledge in use of CAD software. Revit knowledge is an asset.
- Load calculations. Knowledge of energy modelling is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
