Summary

As a Sanitation Worker you will bring physical strength and stamina to perform labour intensive tasks to maintain the area hygiene and sanitation of their production lines and plant facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain area hygiene and sanitation schedules for plant lines and equipment.
  • Assist with the disassembly and assemble of equipment for routine cleaning and maintenance in compliance with LOTO.
  • Support and encourage team members to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all cleaning tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and foster respect for diversity and inclusion.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.
  • Qualifications
  • Prior sanitation or heavy duty cleaning experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (preferably food manufacturing)
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and LOTO
  • Good physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of a labour intensive role that requires prolonged standing, walking, repetitive movements, bending, reaching and lifting
  • Able to commit long-term to working Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (3 days per week) from 6 am-6pm (12 hour shifts)
  • Good record of dependability with excellent punctuality and attendance
  • Must possess reliable means of transportation to commute to location (location is TTC accessible but position requires early start)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to area hygiene and sanitation.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
