Biomed is hiring for the position of Care Aide

Biomed Recovery & Disposal the largest medical waste company in Saskatchewan. We are a growing waste management company based in Aberdeen, SK, only 20 minutes north of Saskatoon. Tasks will include but are not limited to:

Executive Support Duties:

  • Drives the client to and from the Aberdeen location for meetings and events.
  • Manages calendar appointments, travel itineraries, and daily schedules.
  • Assists with setting up and troubleshooting remote work tools (e.g., Teams, email access).
  • Coordinates with staff as needed to ensure smooth communication and task follow-through.
  • Handles confidential documents and correspondence with discretion.
  • Prepares meeting materials, presentations, and reports as needed.

Personal and Household Support:

  • Assists in monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
  • Administers insulin when required.
  • Assists with household support tasks that may include moving and lifting household items.
  • Shops for groceries and restocks household essentials.
  • Plans and prepares nutritious meals based on dietary needs and preferences.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties including tidying, laundry, and kitchen upkeep.
  • Organizes home office space and ensures technology is functioning properly.
  • Runs errands such as picking up prescriptions or mailing packages.

Transportation and Errands:

  • Drives the client safely to work locations outside the city, ensuring punctuality and comfort.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and schedules regular servicing.
  • Accompanies the client to appointments or events when requested.

Lifestyle and Wellness Support:

  • Books, attends, and reminds about health appointments, fitness sessions, and wellness activities.
  • Provides companionship and support during travel or downtime.
  • Maintains a comfortable and organized living environment for the client.

This position requires a team member who demonstrates excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. A high level of confidentiality and professionalism is required, as this position works closely with management to maintain the safety and wellbeing of the client. The Care Aide must demonstrate exceptional dependability and reliability and must be able to cooperate and work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License.
  • Experience as a Care Aide.
  • Preference will be given people with a background in nutrition or related fields.

This position requires 40 hours of work per week. Hourly wage adjusts with and reflects skill and experience.
