**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Focus exclusively on trademarks, providing comprehensive support for trademark preparation and prosecution practices.
- Cultivate new opportunities from existing global trademark clients through relationship building, networking, and engaging professional communications, including written and video formats.
- Represent the firm at startup conferences, assist with government-funded projects, attend the INTA Annual Conference, and participate in other business development initiatives to attract potential clients and expand the practice.
- Mentor trademark trainee(s), trademark clerk(s), and junior trademark agent(s) to ensure their productivity and optimize the use of your time.
- Participate in client intake meetings to understand and address their needs effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong, successful client relationships.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned.

**THE SKILL SET**
- Can be a recently qualified Trademark Agent registered with the College of Patent Agents & Trademark Agents (CPATA) in good standing with at least 3 years’ experience working with Trademarks.
- Preferred but optional: Lawyer licensed in Ontario (Juris Doctor or LLB from an accredited law school), in good standing. If Associate experience, you would assist with managing Trademark opposition and dispute resolution cases.
- Experience with IP management software (Patricia or other) is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Be responsive to clients & colleagues with a sense of urgency, care and compassion. Able to build trust and confidence with a high-level of integrity and dependability.
- Be self-motivated, methodical, with a strong work ethic and high level of motivation/commitment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills - communicates in a kind and professional manner.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
