Job Overview

We are looking for a pro-active and energetic person to join our team in the position of an Irrigation and Equipment Operator. The Irrigation and Equipment Operator will be expected to maintain and operate farm equipment including but not limited to pumps and irrigation systems, vehicles, tractors and farm equipment.

Job Requirements

· Carry out activities related to the maintenance and operation of farm equipment including but not limited to irrigation and pumping systems, vehicles, tractors and attachments,

· Ensure tasks are completed efficiently, productivity objectives are met, and safety standards are maintained.

· Be able to do physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.

· Be able to work effectively with a diverse group of personnel requiring exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, communication and relationship building skills.

· Have strong organizational and numeracy skills, and be able to multi-task and problem solve.

Must have a valid driver's license

Education & Qualifications

· Minimum Education: High School but mechanical training is an asset

· Experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance

· Experience with pumps and irrigation systems are an asset

· Experience in operating farm equipment is an asset

· First aid training and other industry related training are an asset

· Fluent in spoken and written English

· Spanish language an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Work Location: In person
