Our client is seeking an experienced
Senior Property Accountant
to join their established accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled property accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career and work with a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.

The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment, delivers accurate financial reporting, and takes initiative in identifying issues and implementing process improvements. They also enjoy sharing their knowledge and contributing to the training and development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly financial reporting packages for assigned properties
  • Support the Accounting Manager with audit processes and related documentation
  • Coordinate the smooth integration of new properties into the accounting workflow
  • Provide analysis and insights to improve reporting and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry
  • CPA designation completed or in progress (an asset)
  • Proven ability to meet financial reporting deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Yardi software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
