Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle food and transactions accurately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role is essential in delivering a positive dining experience for our customers and supporting smooth restaurant operations.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and making change, with attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the counter area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods.
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with POS systems
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or serving roles within the food industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
