**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for order processing and cash handling.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, dining space, and kitchen.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure quality service.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.

**Skills**
- Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thunder Bay, ON P7E 5R7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- food counter attendants: 2 years (preferred)
