Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel management is highly desirable.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen activities
- Manage and train staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Handle cash transactions and POS systems such as Micros POS efficiently
- Ensure high levels of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking
- Enforce food safety regulations and uphold quality standards across all departments
- Lead team management efforts to foster a positive work environment and motivate staff
- Assist in menu planning, including food preparation and cooking oversight when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, food safety, and kitchen operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs
- Supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Skilled in interviewing, hiring, and training restaurant staff
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Leadership qualities with a focus on hospitality excellence and team development
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and food handling best practices
- Background in hotel or barista experience is considered a plus for versatile restaurant environments
