Position Overview
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Supervisor supports the oversight and supervision of staff, ensuring team performance and the proper execution of delegated tasks. As a brand ambassador, the Supervisor embodies the company's values and represents upper management with professionalism. All actions and decisions are guided by collective success, service excellence, and the well-being of both customers and employees.
This role offers a career development opportunity leading to a management position. It is intended for an experienced team member—whether a server, bartender, or support staff—who demonstrates a strong work ethic and adherence to the company's best practices.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure service quality and atmosphere meet company and management standards.
Manage workflow to guarantee smooth and efficient service.
Evaluate daily performance through observation and actions, then provide coaching.
Help identify career development opportunities for team members.
Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts.
Oversee quality control and ensure standards, protocols, and regulations are respected.
Communicate organizational needs so employees are set up for success.
Supervise and act as a reference point for employees, offering guidance, support, and compassion.
Step in to assist management when needed.
Act as a liaison between staff and management, fostering strong communication.
Qualifications for Success
Experience
6 months to 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in the restaurant or hospitality sector (an asset).
Hands-on floor experience with a solid understanding of restaurant operations.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication skills in French and the ability to communicate in English.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to prioritize during high-volume periods.
Natural leadership and team spirit.
Motivation to learn and develop management skills.
Ability to support the team in sales management and operational efficiency.
Strong coaching, motivating, and training abilities.
Conflict resolution skills and ability to maintain a positive work environment.
Positive, dynamic attitude with a drive to take on challenges.
Attention to detail and rigor in task execution.
Work Schedule
Full-time or Part-time
Availability from Monday to Sunday with 2 days off per week
Participation in both opening and closing shifts on a rotational basis
Flexible hours: days, evenings, and weekends depending on restaurant needs.
