We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in clerical duties, document management systems, proofreading, transcribing, administrative tasks, organizational skills, phone etiquette, contracts, and data entry.
Duties:
- File and organize legal documents
- Assist with document management systems
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Transcribe dictation and prepare legal documents
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
- Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate parties
- Draft contracts and other legal documents
- Perform data entry tasks
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in Legal Studies or related field
- Preferrable 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional phone etiquette
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
