We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Automation testing using Selenium and Java. This role requires a hands-on approach to designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts with a deep understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks for both new and existing systems for our banking clients.

In this role, you will

  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test frameworks and test scripts for Java/Spring-based applications using Java, Selenium, TestNG/Junit, Cucumber and REST Assured for API Automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for testing and automation projects.
  • Implement automation testing using Selenium and Java to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, component, contract and end-to-end testing for new features and existing applications.
  • Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and performance of software interfaces.
  • Utilize Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery ensuring seamless deployment of applications.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the testing process.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and testing outcomes.

Required skills: what you need to be considered

  • Overall 4-6 years of experience as an Automation Test Engineer with Java, Selenium, Cucumber.
  • Strong programming skills in Java for writing automated test scripts.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and running test cases for functional and UI testing.
  • Good experience with API testing using Postman and Rest Assured.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile.
  • Individual Contributor with good communication skills.
