Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring, Selenium, REST API testing, and Mobile Automation (Appium). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation frameworks and ensuring the highest quality of software delivery through robust testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Spring, and Selenium.
  • Implement and execute API automation testing for RESTful web services.
  • Develop and maintain mobile automation scripts using Appium for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Participate in test planning, test design, and test execution activities.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to identify test requirements and ensure full coverage.
  • Perform regression testing, integration testing, and system testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of automation testing processes, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and Spring Framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
  • Proven experience in REST API testing (using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
  • Experience with mobile automation testing using Appium.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and test planning.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo).
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, JBehave).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Exposure to performance testing tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
