EPITEC
is seeking a
Performance Automation Test Engineer
to join our Leading Automotive Clients team .

Type : Long term Open ended contract

Location : Kanata - Ontario , Canada ( Onsite - 5 days in office)

Summary :

You'll contribute to the development and execution of automated performance tests for embedded systems, specifically Electronic Control Units (ECUs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate nightly automation test results to detect regressions and ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze performance data and verify test outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through automation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues in the lab environment.
  • Support both legacy and next-generation ECUs.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in automation development.
  • Strong proficiency in
    Python
    , especially
    Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
    .
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g.,
    pytest
    ,
    slash
    , or similar).
  • Solid understanding of
    embedded systems
    and how they operate.
  • Ability to independently debug issues and analyze logs.
  • Experience in performance automation and data inspection.
