Support full-cycle HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
Prepare and post job advertisements across appropriate channels and coordinate interview logistics.
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.
Partner with Payroll and Recruitment during new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
Track probationary periods and ensure timely benefit and pension enrollments.
Maintain HRIS accuracy and employee file integrity in accordance with company standards.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment standards.
Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to HR leadership for retention improvement.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and support consistency across The Sutherland Group's HR practices.
As a member of The Sutherland Group team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:
Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience, ideally within a multi-division or industrial setting.
Working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Experience with HRIS systems (asset).
Payroll or accounting experience (asset).
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
Proven ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
CHRP or CPHR designation (or in progress) is considered an asset.
