About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced
Manager - Accounting and Tax
to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building client relationships, mentoring junior colleagues, and delivering exceptional accounting, assurance, and tax services.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead, review, and complete a variety of client engagements, including compilations, reviews, audits, corporate and personal tax returns, and controllership assignments.
  • Oversee the preparation of working papers, financial statements, and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Plan and manage engagement workflows, deadlines, and client deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and present solutions to benefit clients and the team.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing constructive feedback and helping them grow into exceptional professionals.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships through clear communication and consistent follow-through.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting, assurance, and tax standards, and embrace emerging technology to enhance our services.

About You
You are a confident, solutions-oriented CPA who enjoys variety in your work and thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership ability, and client-service focus.

You Have

  • CPA designation with 5+ years of public accounting experience, including assurance and tax work.
  • Proven experience managing client engagements from planning through completion.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Xero, Caseware, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office (experience with Dext, Wagepoint, and iFirm an asset).
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on building trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new technology and methods.
