Position Summary:
As a Field Security Technician, you will be the friendly face of Alarm Systems. Serving our customers by installing and servicing our residential and commercial security systems. You will be required to set up, program and install a variety of security solutions, including alarm systems, smart home automation systems, video surveillance and access control systems. You will also serve as a brand ambassador by providing answers and information about our products and services to current, and prospective customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install, configure, and service access control systems, intrusion alarms, video surveillance, and smart home automation solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers and install/service dispatchers to address and resolve issues.
- Provide daily updates to the manager regarding delays, requirements, and overall job status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and legibly.
- Serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers and the public
Does this sound like you?
- You must possess strong computer skills, with the ability to install and program software as needed
- Must always work safely and responsibility to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused material, and clean up installation debris
- You are highly organized and able to manage several responsibilities at once with little oversight.
- 1-2 years technical experience installing Security/Alarm Systems
- Being comfortable with performing some self-training to complete quality installations
- You possess above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a clean driving record and a clean Police Background Check is required
