Assistant Manager – Anytime Fitness (Brentwood, Calgary)

We're looking for a motivated, people-focused Assistant Manager to join our Brentwood team and help drive both business success and member satisfaction.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager will play a key role in daily operations, sales, and member experience. You'll support the Club Manager in managing staff, increasing membership sales, maintaining high customer service standards, and creating a positive and motivating club environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing

  • Assist in driving membership growth through outreach, lead follow-ups, and in-club promotions.
  • Support community marketing efforts such as local events, university outreach, and social media engagement.
  • Help achieve monthly sales and retention targets.

Member Experience

  • Ensure a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all members.
  • Address member concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct club tours, onboarding sessions, and assist with member sign-ups and cancellations.

Operations & Administration

  • Support daily club operations including scheduling, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of memberships, payments, and staff hours.

Staff Support & Leadership

  • Assist in training and supervising front desk staff and personal trainers.
  • Help maintain a motivated, goal-oriented, and team-driven work culture.
  • Step in for the Club Manager when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in fitness, sales, or customer service management (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and helping others achieve their goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning gym management software.
  • Flexible availability (some evenings/weekends required).

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
