Vin Room is hiring for a Junior Assistant Manager to join our team at Vin Room YYC Airport. Vin Room is an independently run wine bar with 3 locations in Calgary.

The ideal candidate has their WSET 3 and/or hospitality management certification and has at least one year minimum of experience in a hospitality management role. Floor management is important as well as a focus on the guest first. This person must be passionate about the guest and make it fun for our staff and guests, as well as be able to work within a team environment.

This is a leadership role and as such requires a person that can not only mentor staff in the wine program and service but also be an effective floor manager. This is an active role and will require active presence on the floor, including serving guests.

The Assistant Manager reports directly to the General Manager, and will usually work under the guidance of the Senior Assistant Managers and as such is expected to provide all the necessary details in the organization, deliverance and execution of the service program. Must be willing to work at any of the three Vin Room locations and get a security clearance for the YYC Airport. The individual excels in working in a team environment and understand and appreciate the Vin Room concept. Basic computer skills are required and understanding of such programs such as Microsoft excel and word.

Must be legally able to work in Canada and a resident of Alberta.
