We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Associate to manage the packaging and handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments in our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Coordination:

  • Manage the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of all products arriving at World Meats.
  • Oversee the shipping, packaging, sorting, and distribution of outgoing deliveries.

Inspection and Documentation:

  • Follow inspection protocols to ensure products meet specifications, including weighing, sorting, unpacking, and storage.
  • Prepare accurate shipping documents.
  • Verify Bills of Lading against Purchase Orders to ensure correct quantities and weights are received.

Warehouse Organization:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Keep the receiving area orderly.
  • Correctly store products/supplies for easy access.
  • Safely lift, carry, and move products in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, providing clear instructions or information.

Work Ethic:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others at all times.

Problem-Solving:

  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and report to the appropriate personnel.
  • Address delivery or documentation issues and resolve any related concerns or requests.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.
  • Work comfortably in cold environments (-10 to +4 degrees Celsius).
  • Stand for extended periods.

Adaptability:

  • Follow appropriate methods and policies to maintain a well-organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changes in schedules and tasks.
