Role Description

This is an on-site Finance Officer role located in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. The Finance Officer will be responsible for preparing and managing financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, conducting data analysis, and ensuring compliance with organizational and financial standards. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with team members to maintain clear and effective communication regarding financial operations and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Financial Statements, Finance, and Financial Reporting
  • Proven Analytical Skills, including problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication skills, including reporting financial data and collaborating with team members
  • Knowledge of accounting software and proficiency with financial tools
  • Experience in financial planning and budgeting is an asset
  • Understanding of Indigenous cultural practices is considered an advantage
  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
