Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, food handling, and general cleaning duties to ensure smooth kitchen operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality and food service industry, especially for those interested in restaurant, hotel, or culinary careers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning
  • Help with food handling and storage to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Ensure proper sanitation and organization of the kitchen area at all times
  • Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and kitchen operations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards is advantageous
  • Ability to handle food properly and maintain high levels of hygiene
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards assisting others
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
